• Legitimate Interest: To detect and prevent abuse, automated scripts, and platform manipulation.
• Consent: For system notifications and updates, which can be configured in settings.

§3 How We Use Your Information

• Operate, maintain, and continuously improve the BGX Gaming platform and all its services.
• Verify account authenticity and prevent the use of automated bot scripts during game sessions.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent multi-accounting, abuse, and other prohibited conduct.
• Maintain accurate game session records and achievement logs for leaderboard integrity.
• Send mandatory account communications: security alerts and policy update notices.

§4 Data Retention

We retain technical data for the following minimum periods to ensure platform stability and service tracking:

• Account & Identity Data: Duration of your account plus 7 years after closure.
• Activity Records: Minimum 7 years to comply with platform usage tracking regulations.
• Gameplay Logs: 2 years from the date of each session.
• Device & IP Logs: 90 days rolling.

Deletion requests are honoured within 30 days for non-regulated data. System activity logs cannot be deleted before their mandatory retention period expires.

§5 Data Security

• All passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a minimum cost factor of 12. Plain-text passwords are never stored or transmitted.
• All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted via TLS 1.2 or higher.
• Account identifiers and sensitive gameplay progression data are stored encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption.
• Access to production databases is restricted to authorised personnel on a strict need-to-know basis, with full audit logging of all access.
• We conduct periodic internal security reviews and may commission independent third-party penetration tests.

§6 Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. Data sharing is limited to the following circumstances:

• Technical Infrastructure Partners: Receive only the minimum data necessary to ensure platform stability and service delivery.
• Law Enforcement / Courts: We disclose data when required by a valid legal order, court order, or government authority with proper jurisdiction.
• Fraud Prevention Partners: Anonymised or pseudonymised signals may be shared to combat fraud across platforms.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may transfer to the successor entity, with advance notice provided to you.

All third-party processors are contractually bound to process your data only for the specified purpose and in compliance with applicable data protection law.

§9 Platform Availability & Data Integrity

While we strive to maintain 99%+ uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform or continuous availability of your data. Scheduled maintenance will be announced where possible. In the event of data loss caused by platform-side technical failures, we will make reasonable efforts to restore data from our most recent verified backup.

§10 Minors

BGX Gaming is strictly prohibited for persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover that a minor has registered an account, that account will be terminated immediately and all associated account data removed.
